Job Title: Audio and Video Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Audio and Video Technician to join our team in Cardiff. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for delivering, setting up, and providing support with audiovisual systems in an event environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
  • Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audio-visual equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report all Health and Safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
  • Work as part of a team on larger scale projects.
  • Exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
  • Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Use the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.


What We Offer:
• Estimated salary: £31,500 - £36,000 per annum depending on experience.
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced live event environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving license required.
