About the Role


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in our local secondary schools in Preston and surrounding areas.


This is a flexible opportunity to work on a short-term or long-term supply basis, choosing when you work week by week. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different schools and develop your skills in behaviour management.


The Role


As a Cover Supervisor, you will assist and support in Key Stage 3 & 4 classes, either as an assistant or delivering pre-set work in the absence of the teacher. You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but must demonstrate that you have previously worked with children in any previous role (youth worker, sports coach, support worker, voluntary etc).


Requirements



  • Experience working with children in a capacity
  • Hold a degree qualification
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required

What We Offer


Training can be provided to help develop behaviour management techniques to use in the classroom. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and has a commitment to supporting young people.
