About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Systems Engineer to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and generating safety metrics from collected data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop safety metrics from data collected
  • Interpret safety relevant data, communicate findings, and create dashboards for metrics management
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies for integration and improvement of data pipelines
  • Collaborate with ML, robotics engineers, and safety engineers to deliver scalable and reliable data processing solutions
  • Interact with platform teams (MLOps, DevOps, Metrics, Data Analytics) to develop scalable infrastructures for data generation and management

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

  • Solid understanding and passion for safety and systems engineering
  • Experience in metrics and data analysis
  • Scripting experience
  • Confident in the use of Python and ideally C++, SQL, Grafana
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • Excellent communication skills on complex engineering topics
  • Build networks and engage across multi-discipline teams

Extra Kudos

  • Familiarity with industry-relevant safety standards, including ISO 21434, ISO 21448, UL4600, PAS 8800, SAE J3016
  • Experience with embedded systems for safety-critical systems
