About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will be responsible for developing innovative safety engineering approaches that address current autonomous vehicle safety challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety engineering processes and activities covering the concept phase, system and software product development.
  • Define and implement the verification and validation strategy for system safety, liaising with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform safety analyses at the system and software levels using relevant engineering methods.
  • Derive and define safety requirements and support the creation of test cases and validation criteria.

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

  • A solid understanding and passion for safety engineering.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of functional safety and/or SOTIF.
  • Good knowledge and expertise on the state of the art and relevant safety standards, including ISO 26262 and PAS 21448.
  • Good communication skills on technical subjects to a variety of audiences at different technical levels.
