The role of Control Engineer is pivotal in supporting the company's vision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing concept specifications to ensure adherence to company standards, plant requirements, and high uptime process needs.
  • Collaborating with the customer team, plant production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to optimise manufacturing processes and resolve production breakdowns.
  • Developing and fault-finding PLC programs, including Siemens S7 and TIA, and modifying supplied PLC programs for optimal results.
  • Continuously improving control systems to enhance cycle time and reliability.
  • Sharing knowledge, training, and developing other support functions, including Maintenance Engineers.
  • Maintaining standards for programming logic on PLC and Robotic systems.
  • Working with nominated suppliers to achieve efficient, maintainable processes.

As a successful Control Engineer, you will possess:

  • A HNC or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical, or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of Production requirements, Siemens S7, and TIA PLC programs.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel and be on call at weekends.
