Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Secondary school English Teacher to join our team in Colchester, Essex. This is a long-term supply position with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract upon completion of the initial term.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Extensive knowledge of the secondary English national curriculum
  • Excellent planning and preparation skills
  • A supportive mind set when approaching children's learning needs for inclusivity
  • Good inclusive, safe, and fun classroom manner
  • Ability to partake in all education and training days
  • Experience teaching English at GCSE & A-Level/KS3, KS4
