An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Acute Children's Ward for the appointment of two Registered Children's Nurses to cover maternity leave.
We invite applicants with up-to-date clinical skills and experience, preferably in acute paediatrics. Key qualifications include registration on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
Successful candidates will work 8 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 1 year and 26.7 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 9 months, with hours spread across 7 days, including nights and weekends.
NHS Scotland is transitioning to a 37-hour working week, with part-time staff affected proportionally. This change may require temporary adjustments, including working up to an additional 30 minutes per week, for which compensation will be provided until the service area adapts to the new schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in an acute paediatric setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain clinical skills, adhering to UK NMC standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
