Main ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about providing excellent medical care to our elderly population. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting inpatient services and the frailty virtual ward
- Contributing to the development of innovative service models and quality improvement initiatives
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
- Providing leadership and guidance to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will possess:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- Full MRCP or equivalent
- Meets the criteria set out in the generic capabilities framework for specialist grade
- Appropriate higher degree (e.g. MD, PhD, or equivalent)
- At least 12 years of postgraduate practice as a doctor, with a minimum of 6 years in the relevant specialty
- General training in Geriatric medicine to specialist level or equivalent
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
- Can evaluate and manage a patient, formulating a differential diagnosis and initiating an appropriate management plan
