Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our team as a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gastrointestinal surgical services.

The ideal candidate will have post-CCT experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery and expertise in robotic surgery and advanced endoscopy. They will be able to demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.

As a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the elective upper gastrointestinal cancer service, while contributing equitably to the out-of-hours service. You will also be expected to participate in ward rounds, operative procedures, and emergency on-call duties.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to the educational and research activities of the department, supporting the professional development of junior staff and engaging in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.

Salary: £100,000 - £145,000 per annum
