About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team in Gattonside, near Melrose. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs transitioning from hospital care to a supported living home.

Job Description

As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored care and support to ensure the individual's physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assisting with mobility using aids and equipment.
  • Administering PEG feeding and managing epilepsy care.
  • Supporting communication, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Helping with daily tasks while maintaining dignity and respect.
Shifts and Working Hours

You will work on 2:1 Support shifts from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 1:1 Support shifts from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and 1:1 Waking Nights from 10:00 PM - 10:00 AM.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs (learning disabilities, epilepsy, post-stroke care).
  • Caring, patient, and committed to high-quality support.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary: £18 per hour (days) and £20 per hour (nights). You will also receive comprehensive training and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
