Job Description

We are seeking an Academic Resources Coordinator to manage the Learning Resource Centres agenda and staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for decision-making regarding contracts linked to Library Services to gain best value. They will also oversee performance management of Library school staff, coordinate systems for Library Services, and lead on departmental projects and hardware packages.

This role involves delivering an innovative approach to Library services, working with partner schools and the SLS to provide leadership, networking with agencies providing PSCHE, and leading on the Learning Resources Centre policy through the school development plan objectives.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with departments to establish and maintain effective use of the LRC, preparing regular monitoring reports, and managing budgets and expenditures. They will also assist curriculum leaders in preparing and managing LRC-related dimensions to their Development Plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances. A degree in a relevant field and experience in library management or a related field are essential.

Benefits

The benefits package includes annual leave entitlement, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development. The postholder is expected to work flexibly, broadly equivalent to the original contract, with normal working hours during holiday periods etc.

The post is based on a 52-week year, with an annual leave entitlement in line with national guidelines. The postholder will be required to work closely with the Assistant Headteacher, Chief Finance Officer, AHT Premises Manager, ICT Director, and e-Learning Co-ordinator as appropriate to support the work of budget holders in planning resource requirements within their Development Plans.
