Job Description

The Warren School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Centre Manager to lead the school's Learning Resource Centre (LRC). This key role involves overseeing the effective use of the LRC as a vital component of school improvement, ensuring it remains accessible and well-used by students in support of their learning.

About the Role
  • To establish and maintain the LRC as a hub for resource-based learning, providing a positive impact on student motivation and academic achievement.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Headteacher, Director of ICT, and Librarians to ensure seamless integration of resources and technologies within the LRC.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to promote the image of The Warren School and the LRC.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase out-of-hours learning opportunities, enhancing student engagement and participation.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the LRC's curriculum and resource plans, aligning with the school's educational goals.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance management of LRC staff, promoting high-quality support for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare regular reports on LRC usage and effectiveness, informing strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, ensuring responsible expenditure and optimal resource utilization.
  • Liaise with software providers, library services, and other external agencies to maintain good working relationships and secure access to relevant resources.
Requirements
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management in an educational setting, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, financial management, and procurement procedures.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
