Contract Manager

As a key member of our team, the Contract Manager will be responsible for managing all contractual and legal matters throughout the project life cycle. This includes overseeing compliance, mitigating risks, negotiating terms, and ensuring the company's best interests are upheld in all contractual dealings.
Key Responsibilities:- Draft, Review, and Revise Contracts: Ensure contracts are accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
- Contractual Risk Management: Interpret and highlight contractual risk exposure for the company and propose mitigation actions.
- Contract Clarification: Review and reduce ambiguity in contract terms and conditions and provide points of clarification for all stakeholders.
- Liaison and Communication: Be the key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and guidance where necessary.
- Dispute Resolution: Be the key point of contact for escalation issues and dispute resolution between the company and client representatives.
- Document Management: Ensure internal documents are up-to-date, legally compliant, and relevant for the needs of the business.
- Subcontract Management: Draft, discuss, and finalize Subcontracts with all Suppliers involved on the relevant project.
- Variation Order Management: Work with CCO and Project Directors to challenge and control Variation Orders, Claims, Letters, and formal communication.
- A degree in a relevant discipline such as Construction Management, Law, Business Management.
- Understanding of offshore contracting terms and applying FIDIC principles when required.
- IMCA Marine Construction Contract knowledge would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of lump sum contract interpretation such as weather days, fuel, currency, and escalation clauses.
