As the primary point of contact between Next Geosolutions and clients, the Contract Manager will oversee all contractual and legal matters throughout the project life cycle. This includes ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, negotiating terms, and upholding the company's best interests in all contractual dealings.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and highlight contractual risk exposure for the company and propose mitigation actions by leading discussions with clients.
- Review and reduce ambiguity in contract terms and conditions, providing points of clarification for all stakeholders.
- Act as the key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and guidance where necessary.
- Draft, discuss, and finalize subcontracts with suppliers involved in the project.
- Work with the CCO and Project Directors to challenge and control variation orders, claims, letters, and formal communication.
- Utilize experience within the survey environment.
- A degree in a relevant discipline such as Construction Management, Law, or Business Management.
- Understanding of offshore contracting terms and application of FIDIC principles when required.
- IMCA Marine Construction Contract knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge of lump sum contract interpretation, including weather days, fuel, currency, and escalation clauses.
