Teaching Assistant Opportunity for ASD and EYFS Support

Job Description:
This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves supporting a primary school in Lewisham, focusing on delivering tailored support for SEN pupils in Year 6 and Reception. As a key member of the school team, you will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in adapting lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils.
- Develop and implement engaging activities for EYFS and KS2 pupils.
- Assess and track pupil progress, providing valuable insights to teachers and parents.
- Communicate pupil achievements and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent
- Prior experience working within EYFS and KS2 settings
- Strong understanding of SEN support methodologies
- Desirable: Previous experience working with children in a school setting
