Carrington West is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to join our team in Reading.

About the Role:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a construction professional with a background in the heavily regulated sectors of nuclear or defence to work on some of the most exciting construction projects in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and monitor construction work to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead a large team to deliver complex projects, utilizing strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Develop and implement construction strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.

Requirements:

  • Hold an industry-standard construction/build environment qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certification.
  • Construction accreditation or a suitable equivalent.
  • Industry-recognised safety scheme card (e.g., Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Manager's card, Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Safety Passport card or a suitable equivalent).
