Job Title: Interim Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Interim Lawyer to join our team at Triumph Consultants Ltd. As an Interim Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our clients in the Employment Services department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocate and represent clients in Employment Tribunals, committees, and panels.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal knowledge and research, maintaining a thorough understanding of employment legislation.
  • Support and assist legal officers in the Commercial and Governance Team, providing cover as required.
  • Provide training to the legal services division, Council officers, and clients.
  • Assist in managing relationships with service areas relevant to the practice area.
  • Identify and mitigate high-risk cases in discussion with the Legal Service Team Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified to practice as a Solicitor/Barrister/FCILEx.
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context, ideally within a public sector organisation.
Requirements:
  • Ability to advise on complex and sensitive legal issues in a constructive and positive way.
  • Manage a caseload of legal work with minimum supervision, exhibiting good organisational skills and working successfully as part of a team.
  • Ability to grasp and assimilate new information quickly and work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of equalities and diversity issues.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent.
