We are seeking a skilled Recoveries Lawyer to join our Property Risks and Coverage Team at Keoghs LLP. As a Recoveries Lawyer, you will handle a caseload of Household and Commercial Property recovery files from a selection of our well-known insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial review and reporting of cases
  • Dealing with disclosure and reviewing evidence
  • Conducting investigations and instructing counsel and experts
  • Legal research and drafting of documents
  • Attending conferences and trials with counsel
  • Liaising with lay and insurer clients
  • Engaging in settlement negotiations and preparing pre-action and interim applications
  • Assisting with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and court appointments
  • Conducting advocacy by telephone and in person
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Defendant insurance litigation firm
  • Previous litigation experience specifically relating to Recoveries
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Household and Commercial recoveries
  • An ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work with case management systems
  • The personal skills to deal with major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
