Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Craftsperson for Building Maintenance to join our Estates Department. The successful candidate will provide joinery services, including flexible working in minor building cross-trade skills, to meet the needs of NHS GG&C Health Board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a safe maintenance service to all building and construction-related infrastructure.
  • Assisting in the development of the Estates function into a customer-focused range of services.
  • Aiding in the delivery of an effective Planned Preventive Maintenance programme and reactive repair service.
  • Executing installation and commissioning works of critical plant and equipment to support clinical services.
  • Contributing to the management and control of Health-Associated Infections with respect to the built environment.

Requirements

  • Recognized and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft Apprenticeship or City & Guilds appropriate qualification.
  • Competent tradesman with extensive relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably in the healthcare sector.
