Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and Maintain Standards: Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure the effectiveness of our health and safety management system.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations, including the compilation and submission of reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies and stakeholders during inspections and audits.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance, support, and training to employees on health and safety policies and procedures.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate health and safety incidents and accidents, ensuring that necessary actions are taken to prevent future occurrences.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health and safety performance.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our health and safety management system.
Requirements:
- Certifications: Hold or be working towards CMIOSH status.
- Education: Ideally educated to a degree level in a relevant subject.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems, with knowledge of COMAH regulations and working environments.
