Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our health and safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

About the Role:

  • Implement and Maintain Health and Safety Standards: Develop and implement effective health and safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • COMAH Regulations: Ensure compliance with the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations and coordinate with relevant agencies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for health and safety-related matters with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and employees.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance, support, and training to employees on health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate health and safety incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • KPI Development: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health and safety performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

  • CMIOSH Status: Hold or be working towards Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) status.
  • Education: Ideally educated to a degree level in a relevant subject, such as health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma: Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Auditing Qualification: Possess a recognized auditing qualification in 45001 or equivalent.

Experience:

  • ISO 45001 Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems, with experience in other systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 being advantageous.
  • COMAH Regulations: Demonstrable knowledge of COMAH regulations and working environments.
  • Environmental and Quality Disciplines: Additional knowledge and/or qualifications in associated environmental and quality disciplines would be beneficial.
