Job Title: Recycling Centre Site Operative

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Recycling Centre Site Operative to join our team at Burnham-on-Crouch Recycling Centre. As a key member of our operational team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the public with queries, complaints, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Provide clear instructions to subcontractors and hauliers.
  • Operate plant machinery and oversee waste movements.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials for optimal recycling.
  • Comply with safety standards and contribute to safe and efficient site operations.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks as required.
  • Be prepared to work at alternative Recycling Centres as needed.

Requirements:
  • Able to work on foot for lengthy periods.
  • Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Able to complete manual handling tasks.
  • Able to complete basic reading and writing tasks.
  • A willingness to learn new systems.
  • Willingness to complete necessary training.

Please note that this role requires mobility throughout an operational area, and a driving license and access to a vehicle or alternative means of transportation are essential.
