Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Recycling Centre Site Operative to join our team at the Burnham-on-Crouch Recycling Centre. As a key member of our operational team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to our goal of becoming a zero-waste county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the public with queries, complaints, and provide clear instructions to subcontractors and hauliers.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and risk-free site, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Operate plant machinery and oversee waste movements, ensuring proper storage of materials for optimal recycling.
  • Contribute to safe and efficient site operations, supporting the team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Be prepared to work at an alternative Recycling Centre on occasion.

Requirements
  • Able to work on foot for lengthy periods and complete manual handling tasks.
