Job Overview

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all environment and sustainability commitments and requirements from the SZC Client are flowed down into the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and the SZC Design Supply Chain arrangements. This includes ensuring compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and consents, as well as developing relationships with regulators and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Flow down all environment and sustainability commitments and requirements from the SZC Client into the CWA and SZC Design Supply Chain arrangements.
  • Fulfill Level 0 (Self Checking) Assurance of the CWA and SZC Design Supply Chain work in line with environmental and sustainability arrangements.
  • Advise and guide the CWP, CWA, and SZC Design Supply Chain on SZC's environmental and sustainability obligations, pulling support from the wider SZC Client organization as required.
  • Monitor and report construction environmental permits, consents, and licenses within the CWP.
  • Support design change, procurement, and delivery processes to ensure environmental and sustainability requirements are considered.
About You
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in an environmental, science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience of operating within an environmental management system (EMS) conforming to recognized standards.
  • Proven track record of managing environmental issues on large infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with regulators and other stakeholders.
