The UK's largest Healthcare Charity seeks a skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team at Nuffield Health Brentwood. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to manage a preventative maintenance programme for our Fitness & Wellbeing Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance problems and queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively in line with company policies, procedures, and current health and safety legislation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monthly PPM Jobs: Assist in completing monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
- Daily/Weekly Checklists: Complete building services daily and weekly checklists as scheduled.
- Reactive Calls: Manage and complete reactive calls within a reasonable timeframe.
- COSHH Regulations: Understand and adhere to COSHH regulations and guidelines.
- Health and Safety Management System: Assist with ownership and management of all Health and Safety Management System folders.
- Pools and Spa Maintenance: Carry out pool maintenance and perform regular testing while on shift.
- Safe Chemical Handling: Receive and store pool chemicals safely in designated bunding.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Health and Safety Prioritisation: Assist the Operations Manager in prioritising health and safety in the Building Services area.
- Deviation Processes: Ensure checking and inspection processes are completed as required and deviations are addressed promptly.
- Proactive Flagging: Proactively report any health and safety concerns to the General Manager and Nuffield Health Operations Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Maintenance Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance facility role.
- Pool Plant Room Qualification: Hold a 3-day ISRM Pool Plant room qualification.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
- Team Player: Demonstrate a team player attitude committed to providing excellent service.
- Electrical or HVAC Qualification: Possess a qualification in either electrical or HVAC.
- IOSHH Qualification: Hold an IOSHH qualification.
