Sussex Teachers is seeking an experienced SEND Specialist Teacher to lead their ASD specialist unit in a large, well-established primary school near Brighton, East Sussex.

The successful candidate will have recent experience teaching and supporting students with SEND/ASD and complex needs. They will be responsible for leading the ASD specialist unit, creating an engaging learning environment for KS1 pupils with autism, and working closely with the SENCO and leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of behavior management strategies, particularly when working with pupils with autism. They will also have experience in a similar role, although mainstream teachers with a passion for inclusion are encouraged to apply.

The school offers a welcoming, spacious environment with large outdoor areas, including a Forest School. The school has been rated "Good" by Ofsted and is praised for its strong sense of community, excellent pupil behavior, and commitment to personal development.
