We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at ASC Connections Ltd. As a key member of our purchasing function, you will be responsible for leading a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers to deliver a best-in-class purchasing function.
Your primary focus will be on sourcing new suppliers, supplier development, contracts, and negotiation with both new and existing suppliers. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that suppliers deliver high-quality parts and components on time, enabling us to meet our production targets.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will support the Purchasing team in:
- Enabling profit through effective sourcing and reducing supplier lead times.
- Developing a strategy for your category to ensure that both general production and new model manufacturing can be fulfilled.
- Supporting the business in new product development by analyzing trends within categories and commodities.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities within your specific category.
To be successful as a Purchasing Manager, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager, leading a team of Category Buyer, Senior Buyer or Project Buyers within a manufacturing business, ideally within the automotive/motorsport industry.
- Experience in New Product Introduction.
- Proven negotiation skills and a deep understanding of commercial terms.
- Far East sourcing experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
