About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Archive Collections Assistant. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects to make archival collections accessible to wider audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a full range of collections management activities, including appraisal, preservation, cataloguing and identification of material for digitisation and digital preservation.
  • Ensure professional standards and ethics are complied with throughout all processes, including complying with information and rights legislation and taking account of issues around sensitive material.
  • Provide professional advice to researchers, students and stakeholders interested in the material and the wider project.
  • Work with volunteers, colleagues and external groups on public engagement activities using archival material.
