About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Kent and Medway. The successful candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and support children and young people with complex needs, focusing on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on Occupational Therapy needs, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure best practice.
- Assess and support children and young people with complex needs, using voice output communication aids and other computer-based equipment.
- Deliver training courses to professionals supporting children and young people with less complex needs.
Requirements
- Professional Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the HCPC and RCOT.
- Experience of supporting children and young people who use AAC and EAT for communication and learning.
- Substantial post-qualification experience working as a paediatric therapist, including children with severe and complex needs.
