As a key member of our culinary team at Holiday Inn London - Kensington, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen section for which you are responsible. You will be expected to maintain a high standard of hygiene and produce food to a consistent standard, adhering to all published specifications and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the mise-en-place of the restaurant and functions for your section.
- Ensure the service of functions and restaurant for your section is of the highest standard.
- Assist the Head Chef with ordering requirements and inventory management.
- Train and develop Commis Chefs in their job requirements and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to discuss matters related to food preparation and service.
- Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with the rest of the team and other colleagues.
- Ensure a high standard of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practice is maintained at all times.
- Report any equipment faults or defects to the maintenance team.
- Attend all relevant training sessions as required.
- Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
