Job Title: Paediatric Radiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Radiologist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Radiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to children and young people, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

This is a replacement, full-time (10 PA) Consultant Paediatric Radiology post based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC). We are looking for a general paediatric radiologist to join our team of 6 general paediatric radiologists in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) to meet increased demand on the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide secondary and tertiary paediatric imaging services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Take part in the delivery of emergency paediatric imaging services for the Trust, including plain film reporting, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and interventional procedures as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of sub-specialty interests and participate in clinical governance and audit activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our services.
Requirements
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview.
  • Experience of working in a paediatric radiology department and a strong understanding of clinical governance and audit principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, relatives, clinical colleagues, and support staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with setbacks, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
