Job Overview

Falkirk Council is seeking a skilled arborist to join our team in providing comprehensive arboricultural services for public parks, open spaces, and other areas. The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of arboriculture, including tree maintenance, pruning, and removal.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of safety procedures and be able to adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out arboricultural operations, including tree pruning, removal, and maintenance
  • Working from MEWPs and operating wood chippers and stump grinders
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and adhering to health and safety guidelines
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • NPTC training units 201-309
  • Certificate of competence in wood chipping and stump grinding
  • IPAF certificate for working from MEWPs
  • A valid driving license, ideally with category C1
