Job Title: M&E Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled M&E Technician to join our team at the Canal & River Trust. As an M&E Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our waterway infrastructure, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulic systems and control panels.
  • Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Work safely and efficiently to ensure the safety of yourself and others, and to minimize downtime and disruption to our operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer/Technician/Operative, with a strong background in mechanical engineering and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, including control panels and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including 400/230/24 volts systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel to various locations throughout the region.
