Job Overview:

Alibaba Cloud seeks a seasoned expert to spearhead our data center operations. As a key member of our team, you will drive the development of comprehensive operational frameworks, foster collaboration between stakeholders, and ensure seamless integration with vendors.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  2. Develop and implement efficient data center operations strategies.
  3. Oversee technical teams to deliver high-quality data center operations in routine and crisis scenarios.
  4. Establish and manage vendor contracts to guarantee compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  5. Support project managers in coordinating new data center initiatives.
  6. Design and execute plans for improving energy efficiency and reducing power consumption.
  7. Conduct site visits to assess and optimize data center infrastructure.
  8. Deliver expert reviews of electrical systems to support global data center teams.
  9. Contribute to root cause analysis of incidents and guide vendors and contractors accordingly.
  10. Respond promptly to emergencies in our data centers across regions.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Accumulate 5+ years of experience leading global data center operations (10+MW).
  • Demonstrate in-depth expertise in Data Center mechanical, electrical, fire system, and controls systems.
  • Familiarize yourself with cloud technologies, architectures, IT service delivery principles, and industry best practices.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data center construction procedures.
  • Able to travel frequently (25% to 50% of the time).
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Mandatory fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an asset.
Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
