Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Nightingale Nursing & Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and promoting physical and emotional well-being.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy within the team.
  • Conduct daily medication rounds, document accurately, and ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Support the Home Manager in ensuring good practice in all aspects of care, challenging poor practice, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure, lead a team, and manage competing priorities.
