**Prison Electrical Services Specialist Wanted

**Location:** HMP Leeds

**Salary:** Up to £38,000 (including package)

We are currently seeking a skilled Prison Electrical Services Specialist to join our team at HMP Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work within the prison, ensuring that it is completed safely, compliantly, and on time.

**Job Description:

  • Perform planned and preventative electrical maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and replace failed domestic electrical components
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out works under the appropriate Safe System of Work
  • Identify and resolve issues with domestic electrical systems
  • Install electrical systems according to design and IET Wiring Regulations
  • Inspect and test electrical installations according to current regulations
  • Order critical spares for all electrical services

**Requirements:

  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above)
  • Knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations (specifically 18th Edition)
  • Experience of electrical maintenance, distribution, and installation and testing
  • Understanding of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
