Job Description

As a Shift Fitter at Aggregate Industries UK Limited, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining essential factory machinery, ensuring smooth production operations. This role offers a dynamic work environment, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain factory machinery to meet production goals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal working order.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Promote health, safety, and welfare values, striving for zero harm.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for efficiency and quality enhancements.
  • Apply welding, fabrication, and skills in hydraulics and pneumatics to maintain equipment performance.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Relevant certifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
