Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at MarkJames Search. As an Operational Technology Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of our clients' critical operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor networking equipment and server hardware in an OT environment.
  • Provide expert advice to our customer base on OT cyber security challenges and develop solutions to address these issues.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain solutions within industrial environments to ensure the highest level of security.
  • Assist our Security Operations Centre (SOC) with Level 2-3 incidents and provide guidance on how to respond to OT cyber security incidents.
  • Take a lead role in monitoring unusual activity across OT environments using asset management and vulnerability management tools, reporting incidents/vulnerabilities, and working with SOC and Site functions for assessment, investigation, and resolution.
  • Provide guidance on how to turn enterprise requirements into secure ICS designs.
  • Develop proposals to meet customer requirements and assist the sales team with pre-sales tasks.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience working in an IT/OT cyber security role.
  • Design and implementation solutions such as IDS/IPS, SRA, Network Segmentation, Endpoint Security, Monitoring, and Vulnerability management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct site audits and risk assessments.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Full Driving License.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in an OT environment.
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA/Automation Networks/protocols.
  • Experience with normal OT project lifecycle and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry legislation, regulations, and best practices (NIS Directive, HSE OG - 0086, IEC62443 etc).
  • IT/OT Cyber security qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, SANS GICSP, CISSP etc.
