Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Produce monthly payroll for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care employees using a payroll bureau.
  • Compliance and Governance: Comply with the group's policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage automatic enrolment, NHS pensions, salary exchange, and other employee benefits.
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Process new hires and terminations, ensuring seamless transitions for employees.
  • Absence Management: Process absences, including SSP, SAP, SMP, SPP, and SHPP, in accordance with company policies.
  • Pay Awards and Adjustments: Calculate and implement pay awards, ensuring fairness and equity.
  • Communication and Liaison: Effectively liaise with HR administrators, line managers, and third-party benefits administrators to ensure smooth operations.
  • Query Resolution: Respond to pay-related queries from staff, HMRC, and other relevant bodies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the reporting of annual ONS data and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including staff expenses, filing, and dealing with queries.
  • Process Improvement: Review payroll office systems and procedures for integrity and security, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
