Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, handling check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring accurate and efficient room assignments.
  • Manage front office operations, including handling guest requests, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with hotel policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software systems.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
