Job Title: Rotational Physiotherapist for Stroke and Neurology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Stroke and Neurology department at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rotational Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work across various settings, including acute stroke and neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, and community services.

About the Role

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and contribute to the development of the team's clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy services to patients with stroke and neurological conditions in various settings, including acute stroke and neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, and community services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's clinical practice, including the implementation of evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered as a Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in rotational physiotherapy, including acute stroke and neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, and community services.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice, including stroke guidelines and national policy direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
