Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls and Governance Specialist to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our payroll operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on related reconciliations and wider controls within Customer Payroll, ensuring they are managed to agreed tolerances and deadlines.
  • Deliver the KPI dashboard, reporting on the health of our related accounts, Payroll accuracy, and controls.
  • Support the shaping, development, and continuous improvement of controls frameworks across our core processes and systems.
  • Coordinate the creation of all reconciliation and operational process guides, ensuring clear and up-to-date documentation.
  • Ensure reporting on outstanding reconciliations is completed in a timely basis, minimizing the impact on retail annuities.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, reconciliation management, and risk management.
  • Basic payroll processing and reasoning skills.
  • Basic accounting processing and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
