Mental Health Support Worker
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex neurological conditions to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting qualified therapists in delivering tailored interventions, creating rapport with service users to increase engagement, promote recovery and encourage independence. You will also participate in the evaluation of service provisions and activities, making necessary adjustments to service users' plans under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertaking basic procedures as instructed by a qualified therapist respecting the clients' privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs.
- Reporting any change in service user condition, circumstances or response to treatment appropriately and immediately.
- Attending in-service training and development to learn techniques required to support senior colleagues.
- Committed to helping individuals regain their maximum independence.
- Compliance with legislative procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire and Manual Handling.
