Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at CV Library in Wells, Somerset. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and visitors.

As a Safety Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures across the organization. You will work closely with senior management to ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety laws and regulations, as well as experience in conducting risk assessments and developing control measures to mitigate potential hazards. You will also be responsible for training staff on health and safety policies and procedures, and for conducting regular audits to ensure compliance.

In this role, you will also be responsible for managing the company's health and safety budget, including sourcing and procuring necessary equipment and supplies. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.

We offer a competitive salary of £15.71 per hour, plus a range of benefits including casual dress, company pension, cycle to work scheme, free parking, life insurance, private medical insurance, sick pay, and paid volunteer time.
