The company operates modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, supplying a broad customer base, including blue-chip companies, across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice, and consumer food channels. Internationally, Lakeland Dairies exports 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.

The company's Agribusiness Division operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility, providing high-quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team in Newtownards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving all process aspects of Newtownards Liquid processing, from Milk Intake to Filling machines.

The role requires a candidate with a relevant 3rd-level qualification (engineering discipline) and a minimum of 2 years of working experience within manufacturing/engineering (ideally dairy) or qualification by experience from within a manufacturing/engineering background (minimum of 5 years).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a process 'subject matter expert' with the technical depth to adapt this knowledge to new technologies. It is desirable if the candidate has previous experience of improvement projects and can demonstrate the ability to use continuous improvement (CI) tools.

The candidate must have knowledge in CI methods to overall equipment effectiveness, quality, reduce cost, inefficiencies, and waste. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and will be able to use 2D CAD Systems (e.g. AutoCAD) or willing to train in CAD software.
