About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Engineering team in Dumfries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of our plant equipment and process machinery, including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out electrical maintenance activities in accordance with Company and Legislative Safety, Compliance and Environmental procedures.
  • Effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
  • Responsible for the electrical maintenance of plant equipment and process machinery, including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.
  • Assisting in the training of apprentices, including acting as a mentor and defining best practices.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in electrical maintenance, preferably with experience in an industrial environment. Essential qualifications include a City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) and a time-served electrician. Trained to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.

Desirable Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of Siemens PLC logic, programming, fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Previous work with Industrial Robotics.
  • Detailed knowledge of plant equipment safety and interlocking functions.
  • Demonstrable ability to follow written processes and procedures.
