About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be the face of our company, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive their shopping on time. This role requires a high level of physical activity, as you will be driving a van and interacting with customers throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer shopping trips in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Ensure the van and trays are clean and organized at all times
  • Load and unload merchandise as required
  • Communicate with customers about any changes to their order or substitutions
  • Take care of products and deliveries as if they were your own
  • Call customers before arriving at their property if early
  • Call the store or centre if running 30 or more minutes late

Requirements

  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise as required
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
