As a Speech and Language Therapist for Adults, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and treat adults with a range of acquired and progressive neurological conditions, non-neurological conditions, and voice disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Conduct formal and informal clinical assessments to make differential diagnoses and ensure accurate interventions.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote carryover and generalization of new skills.
- Use outcome measures to evaluate personal clinical effectiveness and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise less experienced Speech and Language Therapists, students, and assistants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
