Product Development Engineer

We're seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer to join our Ruggedized Fiber Optics (RFO) group, focusing on sustaining development. As part of our team, you'll work with professionals who are passionate about innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes
- Create Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and support testing in the lab
- Design and develop new products, including cable assemblies and components
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities
- Support design reviews and presentations
- Model shop requests and create design verification test plans
- Make changes to drawings and support UK MIL or General Market Controlled ECR/ECNs
- Address requests for product extensions, drawing changes, and engineering quotes
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and MS Office software
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CREO, and AutoCAD
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Self-driven and result-oriented with excellent multitasking skills
- Desire to solve problems with analytical thinking and good people management skills
