Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Evri's Barnsley Hub. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for deterring, detecting, and investigating loss within designated Hub locations.
Working closely with the Loss Prevention Team, you will support the reduction of losses, including client freight, through internal theft. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing site access controls, including visitors and contractors
- Supporting processes to safeguard parcel performance, such as high-value goods
- Patrolling and reporting potential risks
- Conducting security checks on outbound gatehouse
- Working to assignment instructions and accurately recording activity on relevant documents
- Complying with and reporting on Health and Safety issues in accordance with company guidelines
- Collaborating with the Hub Loss Prevention team to reduce damage and mismanagement of parcels
- Instilling a culture of handling parcels with care
